Meet Carol Afonso, LCSW
I believe therapy is more than simply talking about what’s going wrong. It’s a space to feel heard, understand yourself more deeply, and begin making meaningful changes in the way you experience your life, relationships, and emotions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself in therapy — without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you need to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll explore what brought you here, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build practical tools to help you move toward the life you want.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with adults, children, and teens, tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs, personality, experiences, and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy while always keeping the relationship at the heart of our work.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, a difficult transition, relationship challenges, self-esteem, or simply feeling like something needs to change, you don’t have to have all the answers before you begin. We can figure out the next steps together.
Ready to take the next step? Let's talk about how I can support you.
